Work and Complete and Utter Workout Fail

Work started up again for me this week, which means getting used to my crazy busy schedule. I was getting used to my life of luxury of the past month, which consisted of planning my days around going to the gym, watching countless Netflix rentals, and not doing anything remarkable. I'm ridiculously tired, even though I've gotten a ton of sleep; I even took a nap during my split shift yesterday. So, what gives?

Either way, it's time to get back on the training plans. I'll be posting my half-marathon schedule soon. I also signed up the run the Shamrock Shuffle, which I'm anticipating will be insanely awesome. At least I have some good runs planned at some point.

In good news, my sick bunny has recovered. Looks like he had an ear infection, so Maddox will live to wear yet another costume.

Fashion fail of the day: wearing new Tory Burch Revas to work with tights and realizing that the tights kept making them slide off my feet. I almost wiped out multiple times on the stairs. I need to break those in a bit more before I attempt to wear them to work again.

  1. Thanks for commenting on my blog! I'm looking forward to reading yours. And, yes, running in Chicago-land weather can be the pits.

I volunteered at the Shamrock Shuffle last year. It was insane with how bad the weather was. I'm contemplating actually running it this year, too.

Which other races are you planning on?

  2. I'm pretty psyched for the Shamrock Shuffle, especially with the insane amount of participants.

Right now, I'm running the Palos Bank Half Marathon on May 2, which is my first half marathon, and possibly the Lemont Quarryman Challenge and the Soldier Field 10 mile. How about you?

  3. I really need to run more. I wish it wasn't so cold in the winter I might actually get off my ass more.

I'm glad your bunny is doing better!

  4. I know what you mean about needing to embrace the cold weather (you mentioned it in an earlier post). I live in WI that's the way it is.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I think it's great that you are going to train for a marathon. I've thought about that, but have just done a few half's.

    Have a good weekend.
